A Wellness Destination

Nakusp is all about lakes, mountains, fresh air and beautiful hot springs.

FOR ONE DAY  . . . wellness practitioners throughout the Kootenays gather together at the festival with the sole purpose of inspiring you in ways to attain a vibrant and healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit.

For visitors

There are many ways to take part in the Nakusp Celebration of Wellness Festival. There are booths and vendors with their healing services and products, workshops on Art Therapy, Yoga, Ancient  History, and Mysteries of the Divine Feminine and much more…like; demonstrations on Tai Chi, Drumming, Sports programs, practitioner sessions (where practitioners offer a 20-minute sample of their skills to help the public become aware of the healing value), “Mini Talks” on healing modalities and honoured Guest Speakers.

It is a great place to explore new healing modalities, gain knowledge on how to integrate wellness concepts into your lifestyle and explore Nakusp as a wellness destination. There are several hot springs in the area, the majestic Selkirk Mountains, beautiful Arrow Lake and varied wildlife, which all lead to an absolutely pleasurable weekend retreat.

Admission: $1;    Healing Service: $10;    Workshops: Under $20;    Guest Speaker Evening: Mirror Theatre presents a healing play..."Asklepios"

For Practitioners

This is an opportunity for practitioners to come together in one place, enhance your presence in the public eye, share your knowledge and experience, offer a service to the public, network with other practitioners in your  field, discover other healing modalities that might complement your service and offer referrals to your clients. Additionally, it offers a chance to be part of the much bigger picture of global healing.

To be part of the festival as a workshop or demonstration provider, or to operate either a service or product booth, register online or

Directory (published again in 2011)

The Nakusp Celebration of Wellness Directory was created to bring the different practitioners and their services from our area to the public’s awareness. The directory will be printed and will be given free to all Celebration of Wellness attendees and participants at the event. In addition, it will be printed and circulated before the festival to the Chambers of Commerce, health food stores, Metaphysical stores, and Libraries throughout the Slocan Valley, Nelson, Revelstoke, Vernon, Nakusp, Trout Lake, New Denver, Silverton, and on the Arrow Lakes ferries while supplies last until all are distributed.

Deadline for submission TBA
