FOR ONE WEEKEND EVERY SECOND YEAR . . . wellness practitioners throughout the Kootenays gather together in one festival with the sole purpose of inspiring you about ways to attain a vibrant and healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit.

• Learn new ways to integrate wellness as a lifestyle change.
• Be inspired by guest speakers on various wellness topics.
• Participate in many workshops and mini educational talks.
• Explore new ways of healing and take part in activities that promote wellness.
• Enjoy the many booths, services, information and good food offered.
• Raise your Awareness, Educate yourself and have fun Experiencing it all!

There are many ways to take part in the Nakusp Celebration of Wellness Festival. There are booths and vendors with their healing services and products, workshops on Art Therapy, Yoga, Ancient  History, and Mysteries of the Divine Feminine and much more…like; demonstrations on Tai Chi, Drumming, Sports programs, practitioner sessions (where practitioners offer a 20-minute sample of their skills to help the public become aware of the healing value), “Mini Talks” on healing modalities and honoured Guest Speakers.

It is a great place to explore new healing modalities, gain knowledge on how to integrate wellness concepts into your lifestyle and explore Nakusp as a wellness destination. There are several hot springs in the area, the majestic Selkirk Mountains, beautiful Arrow Lake and varied wildlife, which all lead to an absolutely pleasurable weekend retreat.

This is an opportunity for practitioners to come together in one place, enhance their presence in the public eye, share their knowledge, offer a service to the public, network with other practitioners in their field, discover other healing modalities that might complement their service and offer referrals to their clients. Additionally, it offers a chance to be part of the much bigger picture of global healing.

The Nakusp Celebration of Wellness Directory was created to bring the different practitioners and their services from our area to the public’s attention. The directory will be given free to all Celebration of Wellness attendees and participants at the event in Nakusp on June 19/20, 2010. In addition, it will be circulated before the festival, March 1, 2010 to the Chambers of Commerce, health food stores, Metaphysical stores, and Libraries throughout the Slocan Valley, Nelson, Revelstoke, Vernon, Nakusp, Trout Lake, New Denver, Silverton, and on the Arrow Lakes ferries until all are distributed.
