June 19th and 20th 2010
A Wellness Destination

Nakusp is all about lakes, mountains, fresh air and beautiful hot springs.

FOR ONE WEEKEND EVERY SECOND YEAR . . . wellness practitioners throughout the Kootenays gather together in one festival with the sole purpose of inspiring you about ways to attain a vibrant, healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit.

For visitors

There are many ways to take part in the Nakusp Celebration of Wellness. There are booths and vendors with their healing services and products; workshops on such topics as Art Therapy Yoga, ancient history and mysteries of the Divine Feminine, and much more; demonstrations of Tai Chi; Drumming Sports programs; sessions where practitioners offer a 20-minute sample of their skills to help the public become aware of the healing value; mini talks on healing modalities; guest speakers during the day and our main guest speakers on Saturday evening in the Bonnington Theatre.

The Festival is a great place to explore new ways of healing, learn how to integrate wellness concepts into lifestyle changes, and explore and enjoy Nakusp as a wellness destination. Two commercial and several natural hot springs, the majestic Selkirk Mountains, beautiful Arrow Lake and varied wildlife all lead to an enormously pleasurable weekend retreat.

Admission: $3;    Guest Speakers: $10;    Healing Service: $15/20min;    Workshops: $20 and up

For Practitioners

This is an opportunity for practitioners to come together in one place, enhance their presence in the public eye, share their knowledge, offer a service to the public, network with other practitioners in their field, and discover other healing modalities that might complement their service and lead to referrals to their clients. And it’s a chance to be part of a much bigger picture of global healing.

To be part of the festival as a Workshop, Booth/Service, Demonstration or Vendor

Directory

The Nakusp Celebration of Wellness Directory was created to bring the different practitioners and their services from our area to the public’s attention. This directory is produced annually and will be given free to each Celebration of Wellness attendee and all participants at the event in Nakusp on June 19/20, 2010. In addition, it will be circulated through Chambers of Commerce, health food stores, metaphysical stores and libraries throughout the Slocan Valley, Nelson, Revelstoke, Kelowna, Vernon, Nakusp, Trout Lake, New Denver, Silverton and on the Arrow Lakes ferries.

Deadline for submission is June 1, 2009

Thank you in advance for your support. If you would like to put your ad in our directory please contact Marie Wrede at 250-265-4541or naturelle@telus.net or place your ad online using our online submissions form by visiting the directory page.
